Modelgeo (software)
[edit]Modelgeo Base is a general purpose 3D mathematics and petroleum geology software developed by Norwegian independent company ModelGeo AS. It is free for academic and other non-profit use.

Typical petroleum geology use is 3D visualization, gridding, depth conversion and prospect evaluation. Most types of data can be visualized, including line and point data, grids, cubes, well logs, seismic and images (photos).
Mathematical and logical operations are done with the TCL-based internal script language. Formulas are solved interactively on the command line or with scripts. Calculations can be done between data arrays, grids and cubes (3D grids).
Free license users have access to all parts of Modelgeo except for some specialist applications for velocity modelling[1], depth conversion[2] and inversion of velocity data[3] which are licensed separately.
