Miran Fabjan (born 12 April, 1985) is a Slovenian professional mixed martial artist and kickboxer. He is best known for competing in the Fight Nation Championship (FNC) promotion, where he fights primarily in the light heavyweight and heavyweight divisions. Fabjan previously fought in other regional promotions, including Final Fight Championship (FFC) in kickboxing and mixed martial arts and World Fighting Championship (WFC) in kickboxing, as well as World version W5 (W5) kickboxing events.
Mixed martial arts career

[edit]Fabjan made his professional MMA debut on October 27, 2007, at Trbovlje Cage – Fight Night against Slovenian fighter Bojan Kosednar. He lost the bout via unanimous decision after two rounds, marking the first defeat of his pro career.[4]
In his second professional fight, Fabjan faced a Croatian fighter Ivica Trusček on September 27, 2008, at WFC 6 – Relentless. He was submitted in the first round by armbar, resulting in his second straight loss.[4]
March 2023, after a multi-year absence from professional competition, Fabjan returned to MMA at Valhalla Fight Night 6, where he faced rising Slovenian prospect Tadej Dajčman. He secured the victory via first-round TKO (knee), marking a successful comeback to the sport following his long hiatus.[4]
Continuing his post-pause resurgence later that year at Valhalla Fight Night 7, Fabjan fought Fatih Aktas, earning another win by TKO (punches) late in the first round. These bouts signified Fabjan's renewed commitment to his mixed martial arts career after an extended break from competition.[4]
Fight Nation Championship (FNC)
[edit]Miran Fabjan made his debut in Fight Nation Championship (FNC) against Tomislav Spahović from Bosnia at FNC 14 – Sarajevo on December 16, 2023. Fabjan won the bout via technical knockout (punches) in the third round, marking a successful start to his tenure with the promotion.[4]
He returned at FNC 15 – Slo Rocky vs. Žgela on March 30, 2024, where he defeated Mario Žgela by TKO (punches) just 45 seconds into the first round, extending his winning streak inside the organization.[4]
Fabjan next faced a Serbian fighter Darko Stošić at FNC 17 – Stošić vs. Fabjan on June 1, 2024. He suffered a first-round TKO loss (punches), marking his first defeat under the FNC banner.[4]
He rebounded at FNC 19 – Fabjan vs. De Castro on September 7, 2024, stopping a Cape Verdean fighter Yorgan De Castro via TKO (punches) in the opening round.[4]
At FNC 20 – Fabjan vs. Ilić on November 23, 2024, Fabjan faced Aleksandar Ilić from Serbia and secured a second-round TKO victory (punches), continuing his run of stoppage wins.[4]
On April 12, 2025, at FNC 22 – Fabjan vs. Kita, he defeated Michal Kita from Poland by knockout (punches) in the first round, further emphasizing his striking-oriented style.[4]
Fabjan then headlined FNC 23 – Fabjan vs. Moeil on May 24, 2025, where he was stopped by Hatef Moeil, a German fighter and champion of Oktagon promotion, via third-round TKO (punches).[4]
He later met Aleksandar Ilić for a second time at FNC 27 – Vitasović vs. Moeil on February 7, 2026. In the rematch, Fabjan was defeated by first-round TKO (punches).[4]
Kickboxing career
[edit]Miran Fabjan competed in professional kickboxing from 2010 to 2018, fighting primarily across regional European promotions. During this period, he appeared in organizations such as Final Fight Championship (FFC), Cro Cop Final Fight, and World Fighting Championship (WFC), among others.[3][5]
Throughout his kickboxing career, Fabjan faced a number of notable opponents. He competed against Ibrahim El Bouni, as well as British striker Paul Daley under kickboxing rules. He also shared the ring with experienced fighters such as Dževad Poturak, Claudio Istrate, Yoann Kongolo, and Alexander Stetsurenko.[3][5]
Personal life
[edit]Fabjan is father of two children.[1] Fabjan is a practicing Muslim and has publicly spoken about his faith. Fabjan has stated that he is raising his children in the Catholic faith, while personally finding peace in Islam.[6] He is also a father of two children.
