Mukobwajana Asifiwe, known professionally as Micky, is a Rwandan actress, writer and filmmaker. She began acting in 2023 and has worked in Rwandan film productions as an actress, writer and filmmaker.[1][2]
Early life and career
[edit]Before entering the film industry, Micky worked in several occupations. She sold MTN Me2U services in Kanombe and later worked as a waitress at a bar called Makumba. She also studied tailoring after leaving secondary school.[1]
Micky began acting in November 2023 after being introduced to filmmaker Niyonshuti Yannick, known professionally as Killaman. She was given an opportunity to appear in one of his film productions, where she acted alongside Dr Nsabi. She subsequently continued appearing in film productions associated with Killaman.[2]
Film career
[edit]Micky has appeared in several Rwandan film productions and later began developing her own projects. In an October 2025 interview with InyaRwanda, she said that she had produced five films of her own, including Igihome, Imbaraga za Mama, My Daughter and Igeno.[1]
In December 2025, Micky discussed her film Icyumba Cyanjye in an interview with ISIMBI. She explained that the film's story concerns betrayal and secrecy within close relationships and discussed sources of inspiration for her film work.[3]
In 2026, Micky discussed the development of Isezerano ry'Ikinyoma. She said that she and a collaborator had initially begun writing another story but abandoned it after three episodes and subsequently developed Isezerano ry'Ikinyoma. She also said they sought advice from people with experience in filmmaking before producing the project.[4]
Isezerano ry'Ikinyoma
[edit]Isezerano ry'Ikinyoma is a film series developed by Micky. According to InyaRwanda, the series had reached its 142nd episode by July 2026.[4]
Micky described the story as focusing on a man who leaves his wife in the countryside and moves to the city, where he begins another relationship, leading to a series of conflicts and consequences.[4]
Personal life
[edit]Micky married Rwandan entertainment promoter Agiraneza Pacifique, professionally known as AG Promoter. The couple legally married in November 2025 and held their wedding ceremony in Kigali in January 2026.[5][6]
In September 2026, Micky and AG Promoter welcomed their first child, a daughter.[7]
