Draft:Marketing Architects

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Marketing Architects is an American advertising agency based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It was founded in 1997 by Chuck Hengel and produces and places television advertising, including on connected TV and linear television.[1][2]

History

[edit]

In 2011, the company formed Zoomworks, a subsidiary that developed and launched consumer products. By 2015, Zoomworks had launched or had in development more than 20 products, including the HurryCane walking cane and the Stuffies line of plush toys.[2][3]

In September 2015, Marketing Architects sold HurryCane to Drive Medical. According to the Star Tribune, the cane had generated about $50 million in sales since its 2012 launch. Marketing Architects continued as the brand's advertising agency after the sale.[2][4][5]

In January 2023, Hengel stepped down as chief executive and became executive chairman. Angela Voss, previously the company's chief client officer, succeeded him as CEO.[6][1]

In 2023, the company launched Annika Streaming, a platform for purchasing connected TV and streaming advertising. It was based on a linear television buying platform the company had built earlier.[7]

Clients

[edit]

The agency has produced advertising for Sur La Table, which Chain Store Age reported was the retailer's first national television campaign, and for J.Jill.[8][9]
