Jeremy Rashad Seldon (born June 25,1988) better known by his stage name as Flexx Kapone, is an American rapper, singer and song writer from Memphis,Tennessee. He is best known for his single “Welcome To The Dirty” featuring Project Pat & Fudge in 2016 and his single “Three Six Remix” featuring La Chat in 2020.

Early Life

Born in Oxnard, California Seldon moved to Memphis, TN when he was 1 years old. He later moved to Scobey, MS with his great grandparents at the age of 4 where this would become a pivotal part of his passion for music. Witnessing his cousin Deon hustling and playing various music, he became a big fan of rap & hip hop and began to write his own music. He moved back to Memphis at the age of 10. He would reference this as the turning point in his life, as he constantly got suspended from school for fighting, due to his small stature but resistance to back down. He also turned more to music and began to take it more serious due to all the trouble he would get into. After going to juvenile for shoplifting at the age of 14, he began working on various mixtapes and would soon start collaborating with local artists.

Career

Seldon met Farris Jackson in 2011. Jackson would play a part in Seldon’s artist development and in 2014 he would sign to Colossal Records/B&B Management under the management of Dillon Cash, Ashley Burnett and John T. Brown Jr. By December of 2014, Seldon would release his first single “Straight To The Point” featuring Alleon Mathis. In May 2015, he would release his second single “A1” featuring June B. By August 2015, he would release his first mixtape No Turning Back. His breakthrough came with his hit single “Welcome To The Dirty” featuring Project Pat and Fudge in 2016.
