Jack Trask (born 11 February 2013) is a U14 British sprinter who competes primarily in 100 metres and 200 metres. He currently represents Newquay & Par AC and has represented Cornwall in multiple regional competitions[1]. His personal bests are 11.92 seconds for the 100 metres and 24.80 seconds for the 200 metres.
Athletics career
[edit]2026
[edit]During the 2026 season, Trask competed for Cornwall at a regional level. He was selected to represent Cornwall at the South West Schools Track & Field Championships as a Junior Boy (U15)[2] where he placed 3rd in his heat and 5th in the final for the 100 metres despite being the youngest athlete in the arena that day. He subsequently withdrew from the 200 metres due to injury.
In May 2026, Trask became the Newquay & Par AC U14 Boys' Club record holder in both the 100 metres and 200 metres. He is also the Newquay & Par AC U14 Boys' Southwest Athletics League 200 metres record holder, having recorded 25.47 seconds at Exeter Arena on 3 May 2026.[3]
Also in May 2026, Trask became the 100 metres and 200 metres CCAA U14 County champion. He then later became the 100 metres CSAA U15 County Champion [4]. This made Trask a two-time Cornwall County champion in the 100 metres, winning the event at both U14 and U15 level, and a single county champion in the U14 200 metres.
