JB Financial Group (Korean: JB금융지주) is a South Korean financial holding company headquartered in Jeonju, North Jeolla Province. Established in 2013, it is one of the major regional financial groups in South Korea, primarily serving the Honam region (Jeolla provinces) through its core subsidiaries, Jeonbuk Bank and Kwangju Bank.
As of 2025, JB Financial Group has expanded into a global entity with a strong presence in Southeast Asia and is recognized for its high profitability and efficient management.
History
[edit]The group was launched in July 2013 as JB Financial Holdings, centered around Jeonbuk Bank. 2013: Incorporated JB Woori Capital. 2014: Significant expansion through the acquisition of JB Asset Management (March) and Kwangju Bank (October), establishing its position as a major regional player. 2016: Entered the Southeast Asian market by acquiring Phnom Penh Commercial Bank (PPCBank) in Cambodia. 2020: Established JB Securities Vietnam (JBSV) and JB PPAM in Cambodia. 2025: Reported a record cumulative net profit of ₩578.7 billion for the third quarter, driven by strong performance across its banking and capital subsidiaries.
