Comment: For a subject to qualify for an article, we need published independent reliable sources to cover it. This typically takes the form of news articles, books, published film reviews etc. In this article, the only sources are tv listings, which aren’t the sources we’re looking for. Are there any published sources you can find about this film? Bungle491 (talk) 00:53, 6 October 2026 (UTC)
Hog Wild is a 1974 American television film produced by Walt Disney Productions for The Wonderful World of Disney.[1][2] It was directed by Jerome Courtland and aired on NBC in two parts on January 20 and January 27, 1974.[3][4]
Based on a book by Julia Ridle Mathieu, the production was written by Gabe Essoe.[5]
John Ericson returned to Disney after appearing in Bedknobs and Broomsticks.[6]
While promoting the film, Diana Muldaur discussed how much she enjoyed working in films after being "devoted to theater", while John Ericson said he was "getting more satisfaction and gratification out of acting than ever before".[7][8]
A review in The Lima News described the film as "a change from cops and their screaming sirens".[9]
Newspaper listings described Hog Wild as the story of a Chicago family moving to an Idaho pig ranch, where the father is injured by a hog from a rival ranch.[10][11]
