Grant Engineering (UK) Limited is a United Kingdom-based manufacturer and supplier of domestic heating systems, headquartered in Swindon, Wiltshire.[1] The company's products include oil-fired condensing boilers, air source heat pumps, and renewable heating technologies.
History
[edit]Grant Engineering was founded in Ireland in 1978 by Stephen Grant.[2][3] The company's early focus was on the design and manufacture of oil-fired heating products. In 1981, it moved to a purpose-built factory at Crinkle, Birr, County Offaly, Ireland.[3]
Grant Engineering (UK) Limited was incorporated and began operations in Salisbury, Wiltshire, in 1996.[4] The UK subsidiary relocated to Devizes, Wiltshire, in 2002, where it established a training facility for heating engineers.[5] In January 2018, an expansion of the Devizes site was completed.[6] In 2022, the UK headquarters moved to a new facility in Swindon, Wiltshire.[1]
Grant Engineering has international operations across Ireland, Great Britain, France, and Northern Ireland.
Products
[edit]Grant UK's product range encompasses oil-fired condensing boilers, air source heat pumps, hybrid oil-and-heat-pump systems, underfloor heating, radiators, hot water cylinders, and solar thermal systems.
Installer Scheme
[edit]Grant UK operates a loyalty and accreditation scheme known as the G1 Scheme.[7]
G1 Scheme members specialise in Grant products and are provided with technical training, product knowledge, and support to assist with installation and maintenance. Accredited installers are experienced in fitting Grant products but are not employed by Grant UK.[7]
Awards and recognition

The company's oil boiler range was designated a Which? Best Buy in 2008.[8]
Grant UK received Which? Best Buy status for its Vortex and VortexBlue oil boiler ranges in 2017,[9] 2018,[10] and 2019.[10]
The company's Aerona³ air source heat pump range received the Heat Pump Product of the Year award at the National ACR & Heat Pump Awards in 2022.[11][12]
Grant UK's training operation received the OFTEC Training Centre of the Year award on multiple occasions between 2003 and 2012.[13][14]
