Ghani Glass Limited is a Pakistani glass manufacturer based in Lahore, Punjab. It trades on the Pakistan Stock Exchange under the ticker GHGL. The company was incorporated in 1992.[1] It makes float glass and glass containers for the pharmaceutical, food, beverage, construction, industrial,[2] and export markets.[1]
Zaid Ghani is Chairman. Imtiaz Ahmad Khan is Chief Executive Officer.[3]
History
[edit]Ghani Glass Limited started business in 1992. In 2018, it added 450 tonnes per day of production capacity at its Lahore plant. It also began making tableware glass that year. As of 2026, the company runs 7 glass furnaces with a combined daily capacity of around 1,570 metric tonnes.[4][1]
Regulatory dispute over gas tariffs
[edit]In 2019, Ghani Glass filed a case for the cheaper gas tariff given to five export sectors. In April 2025, the Lahore High Court ruled in its favour, including the benefit from 2019.[5][6]
In December 2025, the Ministry of Commerce rejected the concession, calling the claim "untenable" because glass exports are a very small share of Pakistan's total exports.[5][6]
Operations
[edit]Ghani Glass has three main product lines: glass containers, float glass, and tableware glass. Glass containers are used in pharmaceutical, food, and beverage industries. Float glass is used in construction and other industries. Tableware glass is for household and commercial use.[1]
Financial performance
[edit]FY2019 profit margin: around 18%. FY2020: revenue dropped slightly due to COVID-19. FY2021: revenue crossed Rs. 21 billion.[1]
