Industria de Alimentos Dos en Uno S.A., better Known as Dos en Uno, is a snack manufacturer in Chile owned by Grupo Arcor. This entity acquired the company in the year 1998.[1] The company has produce sugar confectionery, cookies, chocolate and chewing gum as well.[2][3]

History

Arcor took the control of the entity in the year 1998, in a deal of about US$200 million.[4][1] After the acquisition, the entity became part of Arcor's regional expansion in Chile and nearby markets in the MERCOSUR.[5][2]

Market and brands

Since the take over, the entity has remained one of Arcor's main names in Chile. Arcor-Dos en Uno is among the country's leading confectionery companies in the 2000s and 2010s.[6][7]

The brand is especially strong in chewing gum market (about the 85% of Chile's chewing-gum market)[8][9][3]

Beside gum line, Arcor's Chilean portfolio included brands such as Sapito, Chubi, Nikolo and Oba-Oba, among others.[10][11]
