Die Tomorrow (Thai: ดายทูมอร์โรว์) is a Thai drama-documentary directed by Nawapol Thamrongrattanarit. Inspired by six real-life death cases reported in newspapers, the film presents these events through a sequence of short, episodic narratives. Each segment portrays individuals during ordinary moments in their daily lives shortly before their deaths. Rather than focusing on dramatic or extraordinary incidents, the film emphasizes everyday routines and subtle, understated situations.
Through its episodic structure, Die Tomorrow links a variety of settings and social backgrounds, underscoring the universality of death. It suggests that death is not confined by time, place, or social status, but exists as an inherent and often unnoticed part of everyday life.[1][2][3]
The film received critical recognition, winning the New Asian Cinema Award for Best Film at the Five Flavours Asian Film Festival in 2018 and earning a total of nine nominations[3]. It also achieved an estimated revenue of approximately THB 3.1 million from limited screenings in seven theaters across Bangkok and its surrounding metropolitan areas.[4]

Plot Overview

Lucky Girls
[edit]Follows a group of young women who believe about luck in their life. The story contrasts their lighthearted outlook with the fragility of fate, suggesting that luck doesn’t guarantee tomorrow.
You Smile

Release

The film was shown exclusively at SF Cinema locations, including SFW CentralWorld, SFX Central Rama 9, SFX Central Ladprao, SF Maya Chiang Mai, SF Central Khon Kaen, SF Laemtong Plaza Bangsaen, and SFX Central Korat. Social Impact
[edit]During the period from 2012 to 2016 (2555–2559), when data for the film was collected, the number of suicide cases ranged from approximately 3,900 to 4,200 people per year. After the film was released in 2017 (2560), the reported number of suicides decreased to around 3,900 cases annually.[6]
