Christian Venturini (born 6 March 1999) is an Italian football coach who currently serves as a match analyst for the Italy national football team.[1]
Career
[edit]Venturini began his coaching career at the age of 20, working in local amateur youth sectors with Padernese, Franciacorta and Academy Montorfano Rovato.[2] Over four seasons, he progressed through different age groups, from Under-7 to Under-19 level.[3]
Between 2020 and 2023, he also served as Head of Grassroots at Padernese, a role he continued in the 2023–24 season at Atletico Castegnato during his first experience with a senior team.[4] From February to June 2023, he worked as a federal coach within the FIGC "Evolution Programme", a project aimed at developing academy methodologies in elite youth sectors across Italy.
Alongside his coaching career, Venturini completed his academic studies, obtaining a bachelor's degree in Sport Science and a master's degree in Sport Management. In 2023, he obtained the UEFA B Licence and the FIGC Match Analyst Licence.[5] His thesis from the Match Analyst course was subsequently published on the website of the FIGC Technical Sector.[6]
In July 2023, Venturini joined Atletico Castegnato as an assistant coach after the club's promotion to Serie D. He resigned from his position with the first team on 23 April 2024, one day after head coach Giovanni Ivano Guerra was dismissed, while remaining in charge of the club's grassroots sector until the end of the season.[7]
The following season, Venturini signed his first professional contract, joining the scouting department of Pisa, competing in Serie B. In May 2025, the club secured promotion to Serie A after finishing second in the league, returning to the top flight for the first time in 34 years.[8] He remained part of the club's staff for the first half of the following season, until December 2025.
On 17 December 2025, Venturini joined Al Sadd as a match analyst, becoming part of the technical staff led by head coach Roberto Mancini.[9] During his time at the club, Al Sadd secured their 19th Qatar Stars League title and won the Qatar–UAE Super Shield for the first time in the club's history.[10][11] The team also reached the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League Elite, where they were eliminated on penalties by Japanese side Vissel Kobe.[12]
On 6 August 2026, he was announced as a match analyst for the Italy national football team, continuing his collaboration with Roberto Mancini.[13] [14]
