Chhring Sherpa
[edit]Chhiring Sherpa (also known as Chhiring Doma Sherpa) is a Nepalese dancer,[1] actress, filmmaker, and mountaineer[2]. She is the winner of the television reality show Dancing Star Nepal (Season 2)[3] and holds a Guinness World Record for performing the highest-altitude choreographed dance on land[4].[5]
Early Life and Education
[edit]Sherpa was born in Dudhakunda Municipality-6, Solukhumbu district, Nepal, and later relocated to Kathmandu.[2]
Career

[edit]Sherpa began her career in the entertainment industry as a model and dancer, acting in numerous music videos[6][7][8]. She is recognized as an early actress from the Sherpa community, starring in the lead role of the Sherpa-language feature film Tinchhen Phama.[9][2] In 2023, she was cast to make her mainstream Nepali cinema debut in the film Karsang, alongside actors Dayahang Rai and Buddhi Tamang.[2]
She is the proprietor of CS Entertainment Nepal and CS Dance Studio, and serves as the CEO and Director of Gautam Buddha Films Pvt. Ltd[10]. She also works as a television program presenter for the talk show VFY Talks.[11]
Leadership and Pageantry
[edit]Sherpa is the founder president of the Sherpa Film Association of Nepal (SFAN) and holds memberships in the Beauty Pageant Association of Nepal (BPAN) and the National Event Management Association Nepal. She has organized several pageants and community events, including Mr & Miss Teen Sherpa, The Charity Runway, and Mr & Miss Eastpole.[3]
She has served as a judge for multiple national talent and beauty competitions, including Miss Mongol 2023, Rising Star Season 7, and Face of Kathmandu 2024.
Social Work
[edit]She is the founder of the Charity Nepal Foundation (CN Foundation), a non-profit organization focused on youth empowerment and social development projects. [10]She serves as a Global Honorary Advisor for the Federation of World Cultural & Art Society based in Singapore.
Expeditions and World Records

[edit]On November 17, 2022, Sherpa and her dancing partner Jagadish Gurung (JD Tamu) achieved a Guinness World Record for the "Highest Altitude Choreographed Dance on Land (Pair)". The duo performed a three-minute routine combining traditional Nepalese folk styles—including Maruni, Sakela, Jhaure, Tamang Selo, and Syabru—at an altitude of 5,278 meters (17,316 feet) on Kala Patthar in the Everest region. She received her official certificate from the President of Nepal, Ramchandra Paudel, at the Office of the President in Kathmandu[12].[2]

Actor and model Chhiring Sherpa has successfully climbed Sagarmatha (Mt Everest). She reached atop the world's tallest peak on Sunday and unfurled the first poster of his upcoming movie 'Tashi Delek' and also the flags of various organizations on the summit.
