Banyan Software is a Atlanta, Georgia-based company, founded in 2016 by David Berkal,[1] that is an acquirer and operator of enterprise software companies that serve global vertical markets.[2] Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia with offices across the U.S., Canada, U.K., Europe, and APAC,[3] Banyan partners with entrepreneurs who build software solutions.[4]

Banyan operates under a buy-and-hold-for-life model that provides founders a permanent home for their businesses.[5]

Banyan is recognized as one of North America's fastest-growing private companies, appearing on the Inc. 5000 list for five consecutive years.[6]

In 2021, Banyan earned a top 10 spot on Deloitte's North America 2021 Technology Fast 500 Rankings.[7] Banyan was also named to the 2025 Inc. 5000 list [6] as one of the fastest-growing private companies in North America for five consecutive years.[2]

Within this portfolio are software companies that operate independently with support from Banyan. Examples of companies within Banyan's portfolio include Medicat,[9] Loan Vision,[10] Camis,[11] Atamis, School Pathways,[12] and Medtech Global.[13]

Banyan Software Foundation

The Banyan Software Foundation launched in 2024[14] with the vision of using technology to drive positive global change.[15] Created to leverage technology for a greener and more equitable world, it will focus on supporting organizations that utilize technology to do so.[16] With a $100 million commitment[17] of stock over the next four years, the Foundation will become one of Banyan Software's largest shareholders.[17]
