Angels of Jarm is a British animated television series that aired from 2007 to 2017 on Channel 5's Milkshake! block, it is also known for being considered to be the first Religion show for preschoolers[1]. 55 episodes were produced within 2 seasons throughout 2007 and 2017.

Premise

[edit]

Far up in space, four young angels named Ellie, Mick, Rafe and Gabrielle, all live together and tend to help the children that live in a fictional town called "Jarm" pass through various problems that are caused in the town of Jarm.

Production

[edit]

In the Spring of 2007, the Controller of Children’s Programmes for Channel 5 Milkshake! asked Malou Bonicos if she would like to create and design a whole new world, all the characters, backgrounds and accessories for an exciting new preschool animated series being planned called 'The Angels of Jarm'. She was so excited about the new project, so eagerly accepted that she started creating all the characters and their worlds right away.[2]. It was also announced that the series would be targeted at 3-7 year olds and would be a 40 x seven minute animated series with 20 episodes in production for a fall 2007 release while an additional 20 were scheduled for a 2008 release when Milkshake picked up the series.[3]
