Andrew Killgore is an American dentist and business executive. He is the founder of Afinia Dental Group, a multi-location dental practice based in the Cincinnati area, which was acquired by Heartland Dental in 2021.[1]
Career
[edit]Killgore began his career in dental equipment sales before pursuing a degree in dentistry.[2] He graduated from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 2005.[2]
He founded Afinia Dental Group, which expanded to multiple locations across the Cincinnati region, including offices in West Chester, Mason, Eastgate, and Bridgetown.[3] In 2021, Afinia Dental Group was acquired by Heartland Dental, the largest dental support organization in the United States, which is majority-owned by the global investment firm KKR.[1]
Philanthropy
[edit]Through Afinia Dental, Killgore has organized and participated in various charitable initiatives. In 2010, the practice donated over $10,000 in free dental services to local residents in need.[4] The following year, the practice provided approximately $35,000 in free dentistry during a community event.[5] In 2013, the Eastgate location hosted "Afinia Cares Day," offering free exams, cleanings, and extractions.[6]
Killgore has also been involved in international dental mission work for over a decade.[3] He has led or participated in dental missions to the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Uganda, and Mexico.[2][3] In 2018, he and a team of dentists traveled to Monterrey, Mexico, to provide care at the Juniper Tree Clinic, treating children and caregivers.[3]
