Alfred Banks (Musician)

ALFRED BANKS (born July 17th, 1991) is an American rapper from New Orleans, La. He attended NOCCA and Loyola University[1][2]. In late 2011, he released his first single "My Style" produced by fellow Loyola University Alumni & Bay Area Rapper G-Eazy[3][4]. In 2014, under his former performance name Lyriqs Da Lyraciss. Alfred began his career as tour support for former XXL Freshman Mickey Factz "The Red or Blue Pill Tour"[5]. On March 20th, 2017, Alfred Released his 2nd Album "The Beautiful", which went on to Chart #79 on Billboard "HeatSeekers" Chart & #12 on iTunes' "Rap/HipHop" Chart[6][7]. Alfred's most recent project, The Survivor’s Condition (EP) produced by Pell, was released on December 5, 2025. Opening the EP with a motivational intro and upbeat tempo true to his artistic style and Hip Hop culture.

MUSICAL CAREER

2011-2014: "My Style" and "Red Or Blue Pill Tour" On July 17, 2012, Banks released "The Nobody's Monologues 2", featuring the single "My Style", Produced by G-Eazy. A year later, he dropped "Dream as If You'd Live Forever (D.A.I.Y.L.F)", hosted by Mickey Factz with featured guest Tef-Poe[8][9]. After extensive touring, Mickey Factz reached out to Banks asking him to become tour support for his "Red Or Blue Pill Tour" in 2014. During this time, Lyriqs Da Lyraciss was dropped as his moniker, going on to use his given name Alfred Banks. The name change made the connection to his muse more personal and direct to his own authenticity.

2015-2017: RevoltTv's "LocalLoveTour" Winner and Volkswagen Commercial. On July 28th, 2015, Banks was crowned the winner of the 2015 "LocalLoveTour" sponsored by RevoltTV[10]. He appeared on the channel & performed his singles "Homecoming" and "UnderDogCentral". In 2016, Banks was flown to Pamplona, Spain to film his spot as Spokesperson for the European Online Campaign for the 2016 Volkswagen Polo "Beats Edition"[11]. The commercial features his song "Homecoming", garnering over a million views across Facebook & Youtube. The Volkswagen commercial won a Clio Award[12][13][14]. From the commercial's success, Banks performed at the 2016 Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg, Germany[15].

In 2017, Alfred performed at the renowned “Voodoo Festival” in his Hometown of New Orleans[16]. In 2017, the song "UnderDogCentral" was featured in the Netflix movie "Burning Sands"[17], Executive produced by Common[18]. Banks was also named on HipHopdx's list of "Top 10 New School Lyricists to get your mind right"[19]. Alfred has toured with fellow New Orleans native Big Freedia, as well as, being the Special Guest for Tank and The Bangas on the Green Balloon Tour in 2019[21][22]. In 2024, Alfred Banks was the first solo Hip Hop artist to perform a full concert with the Louisiana Philharmonic orchestra[20].

2019-2025: SaxKixAve was a live Instrumental Hip Hop Duo from New Orleans, Co-founded by Alfred alongside a former Tank and the Bangas’ band member. The duo began gaining notoriety in 2020. Going viral for their live Hip-Hop multi-instrumental sound and Alfred's witty and deadpan style of performance. SaxKixAve released three projects together: I don't wear suits (2020), Nectarine Peels (2022), and Terrell Charbonneau (2024). The duo parted ways in early 2025 over divergent visions and lack of trust.
