Alex Ridgway is a Welsh professional rugby union footballer who plays for Bath. His preferred position is [Lock (rugby union)|Lock]].
Early life
[edit]Rigdway was a youth player for Scarlets and was a member of their U18s side which won the Regional Age Grade U18s competition. He moved to Bath Rugby after opting to study at Beechen Cliff School in the city for sixth form.[2] He went on to play for Team Bath in British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) Super Rugby.[3]
Club career
[edit]Ridgway made his senior debut for Bath Rugby in September 2025 as the start of the 2025-26 season against Exeter Chiefs in the Premiership Rugby Cup.[4] On 8 March 2026, Ridgway was a try scorer as Bath were defeated by Leicester Tigers in the semi-final of the 2025–26 PREM Rugby Cup.[5]
International career
[edit]Ridgway played for Wales U18 in 2024.[6] He progressed to play for Wales U20 in the 2026 U20 Six Nations.[7]
