Alex Hormozi (born August 18, 1988) is an Iranian-American entrepreneur, investor and author known for founding Acquisition.com.[1][2] He is the author of several business books[3] and holds a Guinness World Record.
Early life
[edit]Born in Towson, Maryland to Iranian-American parents, Hormozi grew up in the United States. Hormozi attended Gilman School in his early years and later graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Science in Human & Organizational Development, with a focus on corporate strategy. [1]
Personal Life
[edit]Since May 17, 2017, Hormozi is married to Leila Hormozi, who is his business partner and co-founder in several of his ventures.[4]
Recognition
[edit]On August 17, 2025, Hormozi set a world record for the fastest-selling non-fiction book in a single day, selling 2,917,443 copies of his book, $100M Money Models.[5] This beat the previous record which was held by Prince Harry and his book "Spare" at 1.43 million copies.[6]
Hormozi also has his own YouTube channel and has over 4 million subscribers as of 2026.[7]
