8B World Pte. Ltd., trading as 8B, is a Singapore-based financial technology company that provides infrastructure for cross-border payments. Its services are aimed primarily at payment service providers, financial institutions and other businesses seeking access to local payment methods and domestic payment networks.[1]
History and operations
[edit]8B World Pte. Ltd. was incorporated in Singapore on 28 November 2023 under the Unique Entity Number (UEN) 202346928N.[2]
In 2024, IBS Intelligence included 8B in an overview of five Singapore fintech companies involved in B2B cross-border transactions. The publication described the company as providing payment acceptance and disbursement using local payment methods and multiple currencies, with services directed at regulated payment service providers, fintech companies and credit institutions. It identified Central Asia, India and Southeast Asia among the regions served by the company's payment infrastructure.[1]
In February 2026, the Kazakhstani technology publication Digital Business reported that 8B was expanding its operations in Kazakhstan following a pilot phase in 2025. The company outlined activities involving inbound tourist payments, cross-border QR payments for Kazakhstani users and payments for international online services.[3]
During 2026, 8B announced further payment projects in Central Asia, including integrations involving Indian payment methods through PayU and Weixin Pay for merchants in Kazakhstan.[4][5]
Payment infrastructure
[edit]8B provides business-to-business infrastructure for payment acceptance and disbursement across different markets. The infrastructure connects businesses with local payment methods and supports transactions in multiple currencies.[1]
The company's activities have included integrations with domestic and international payment networks, including QR-based and account-to-account payment systems. Its Central Asian projects have included payment infrastructure intended to allow international visitors to use payment methods from their home markets with participating local merchants.[4][5]
Partnerships and projects

[edit]In May 2025, 8B partnered with Philippine financial technology company Coins.ph on cross-border remittance services. The Paypers reported that the project combined 8B's cross-border payment infrastructure with the Coins.ph wallet and blockchain infrastructure.[6]
The companies said the integration was intended to support remittance flows to the Philippines and included the use of blockchain-based infrastructure and stablecoins such as USDC. Recipients could use transferred funds through the Coins.ph ecosystem, including for digital purchases and e-commerce.[6]
PayU
[edit]In April 2026, 8B and Indian financial technology company PayU announced an integration intended to make Indian payment methods available to merchants in Central Asia. The project covered Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan and connected PayU's payment infrastructure with 8B's merchant network in the region.[4]
The integration enabled participating merchants to accept India's Unified Payments Interface (UPI), net banking and Indian debit and credit cards, including RuPay, through existing merchant payment infrastructure.[4]
The partnership was also reported by ETTravelWorld, part of The Economic Times, which described the integration as enabling Indian travellers to use domestic payment methods with participating merchants in Central Asia.[7]
Weixin Pay
[edit]In March 2026, 8B introduced Weixin Pay acceptance for merchants in Kazakhstan. The integration enabled participating businesses in sectors including tourism, retail, hospitality and transportation to accept payments from Chinese visitors using Weixin Pay.[5]
The project was introduced amid growth in travel between China and Kazakhstan.[5]
GITEX AI Central Asia & Caucasus
[edit]In April 2026, Digital Business reported that 8B and UAE-based payment platform PayRow were providing payment infrastructure for GITEX AI Central Asia & Caucasus in Almaty. Under the arrangement, PayRow operated the payment service for the event while 8B provided connectivity to Central Asian payment infrastructure.[8]
For the 2026 event, the payment system supported cards issued by Kazakhstani banks. The companies also outlined plans to add regional electronic wallets and national QR payment systems for future editions of the event.[8]
