A by-election for the United Kingdom parliamentary constituency of Aberdeen South will be held in 2026, fofollowing it's MP Stephen Flynn winning a seat in the 2026 Scottish Parliament election for Aberdeen Deeside and North Kincardine, and as per the Scottish Elections (Representation and Reform) Act 2025, Flynn is banned from holding both a seat in the Scottish Parliament and the House of Commons, and will have to resign his Westminster seat within 49 days.[1][2][3][4]
