Bacillus pseudomycoides is a species of Gram-positive, rod-shaped, spore-forming bacteria in the Bacillus cereus group. The specific epithet pseudomycoides derives from the Greek pseudes, meaning “false,” and the New Latin mycoides, meaning “fungus-like,” giving the name the meaning “false fungus-like.” The type strain is NRRL B-617T.[1]
