Bacillus nealsonii is a species of Gram-positive, facultatively anaerobic, rod-shaped, endospore-forming bacterium first isolated from a spacecraft-assembly facility. Its spores are resistant to gamma radiation, ultraviolet radiation, hydrogen peroxide, and desiccation. Its type strain is FO-92T (= ATCC BAA-519T = DSM 15077T).[1]
