Atelopus peruensis is a species of toad in the family Bufonidae. It is endemic to Peru. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical high-altitude grassland and rivers.[1]
Habitat
[edit]Atelopus peruensis inhabit fast-flowing mountain streams at higher altitudes in the Andes mountains, and its tadpoles use ventral suction discs to cling to rocks in the current of the streams.[2]This observation was first described by Gray and Cannatella in 1985.
