Apollo News is a German news website launched in 2018.[1]

History and management

[edit]

Apollo News was founded in Berlin as a blog by student journalists including Max Manhart, who is currently its editor-in-chief.[2][3] As of March 2025, Apollo News had a permanent staff of 15 employees, with most editorial staff under 25.[4] It is financed primarily through donations and advertising revenue.[5]

In July 2026, three Apollo News reporters were attacked and required medical treatment while covering protests against the Alternative for Germany party.[6]

Content

[edit]

Apollo News' editorial line is classified as right-wing, and has been variously described as conservative, right-wing populist or right-libertarian.[1][2][4] The outlet itself has characterized its goal as practicing journalism that disrupts the status quo.[5] It is considered one of the most prominent alternative media outlets in Germany.[1][4]
